When Coronavirus Hits DC...

Concerning article about what will happen when the DC metro area inevitably succumbs to coronavirus. Local governments in the area have been somewhat late to respond, potentially because DC has so many federal workers and provides essential services to the entire country. However, this strategy could backfire and render DC incapable of sending stimulus checks and providing other federal support in the near future, worsening the situation across the country. Even if the federal government wanted to get more involved, it's not clear that they will be able to. State governments may need to fend for themselves for the long haul.
